Moses then said to Aaron, ``Come near to the altar and offer your sin offering and your burnt offering, that you may make atonement for yourself and for the people then make the offering for the people, that you may make atonement for them, just as the LORD has commanded." Moses said, ``This is the thing which the LORD has commanded you to do, that the glory of the LORD may appear to you." So they took what Moses had commanded to the front of the tent of meeting, and the whole congregation came near and stood before the LORD. ``Then to the sons of Israel you shall speak, saying, `Take a male goat for a sin offering, and a calf and a lamb, both one year old, without defect, for a burnt offering,Īnd an ox and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD, and a grain offering mixed with oil for today the LORD will appear to you.'" Now it came about on the eighth day that Moses called Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel Īnd he said to Aaron, ``Take for yourself a calf, a bull, for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering, both without defect, and offer them before the LORD. May we be the kind of friend who sticks closer than a brother, reflecting the love of our Savior in every word, action, and embrace we offer to others.ĭolomite Mountains, Italy. In a world that often seems too busy for genuine connections, let us cherish and cultivate the friendships that draw us closer to God’s heart. True friendship echoes this sacrificial love. Just as Jesus said, “Greater love has no one than this, that a person will lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13). When we encounter someone who stands by us through thick and thin, who lends a listening ear without judgment, who offers support and encouragement, we glimpse the reflection of Christ’s love. Today’s scripture says, “A person of too many friends comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” The verse reminds us that true joy is not about the quantity of friends-rather, it has to do with the quality of our relationships. It’s a familiar scene in our fast-paced world, where many of our relationships remain shallow and transient. People come and go, exchanging pleasantries with each other, but not connecting on a deeper level. The aroma of freshly brewed beverages fills the air, and conversations echo off the walls.
